Where is the best Chinese food?
This Unknown Eater has had a problem ever since New Asian Gardens in downtown Red Bluff closed its doors several months ago. He felt that this restaurant had the best Chinese food in the county. The restaurant closed because of the need to repair the historic building it was located in. I sure hope it comes back soon. They had the best food and the best service. I love Chinese food and I think I have tried most local restaurants, but nothing stands out like New Asian Gardens did. Any ideas or recommendations?

Peter Chu's skyroom at the Redding Airport is the absolute best Chinese food around. I loved New Asian also and heard they would be back. Until then, go to Peter Chu's, you won't be disappointed!

The Chinese Pagoda in Anderson is great. The drive to Redding is a far peice, but if you get that way, Lai-Lai's is tops on most everyones list.

My husband and I also enjoyed the New Asian Garden restaurant very much. Will they be back? Everytime we go down main st we look to see if anything has changed. We sure miss them. They were very good.

You are not the only one who misses the Asian Garden Restaurant. Husband and I are still having hunger pangs for our favorite R.B. restaurant.
It served the best Chinese food ever and "Angela" the best waitress ever.
Peter Ches's at the Redding Airport is absolutely great but we need the Asian Garden too.

Personally, I think the war wonton soup at Peking is enough to knock anyone's socks off. But if you're looking for a good Chinese buffet, skip Lai Lai's and go for the "Grand Buffet", also in Redding, just off Cypress across from K-Mart and Ross. The food, atmosphere and selection is, I think, much better.
